Linea Directa Aseguradora (LDA) increased its profit by 46.4% to EUR 59.7 million in the first nine months of the year.

The car insurance crisis caused Línea Directa to implement corrective measures, as did most of the companies affected by this situation.Price increases and the tightening of contract terms were the two main things that led to the reduction of LDA's client portfolio.
The total premiums issued between January and September were 843.8 million, which registered an increase of 11.4% compared to the premiums recorded in the same period of 2024. The income from the insurance activity, an accounting quantity created with IFRS rules, grew by 7.8% and reached 794.1 million euros.
